about the role:
we are seeking an experienced controlling supervisor to oversee financial reporting, controlling and cost management activities within a dynamic industrial environment. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate monthly and annual closings, analyzing, variances, driving compliance, and supporting decision-making through high-quality financial insights.
key responsibilities
1. lead monthly and annual closings in sap fi/co, including reconciliation, provisions, reclassifications, and compensations.
2. prepare and explain p&l reports, and balance sheet reconciliations.
3. oversee cost center (ceco) accounting, overhead allocation, and expense validation.
4. analyze cost deviations and prepare mitigation plans.
5. ensure accurate valuation of inventories, wip, and product costing (co-pc / mm).
6. prepare and monitor budget and forecast (quarterly / annual), providing analytical insights and variance explanations.
7. supervise capex compliance and coordinate with cost teams for accurate investment tracking.
8. manage internal and external audits (sox / hq compliance).
9. validate payroll inputs and commissions, control extraordinary expenses and obsolete inventory adjustments.
10. present results to regional and hq teams with a financial storytelling approach (causes – impacts – actions).
required qualifications (must-have)
1. bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
2. expert user of sap fi/co (including mm integration and product costing).
3. strong knowledge of ifrs / nif standards and corporate consolidations policies.
4. proven experience in monthly and annual closings, cost control and variance analysis.
5. advanced excel and power bi skills (financial modeling, cash flow, ebit, capex, opex).
6. experience leading or supporting budget / forecast processes at plant or regional level.
7. fluent in financial english (written and spoken).
8. experience managing and developing teams in finance or controlling.
desirable (nice to have)
1. experience in multinational industrial or manufacturing companies, ideally in automotive, chemical, or lubricants sectors.
2. knowledge of sap s/4hana and automation tools (power quary, power bi).
3. experience in capex / investment projects, from quotation to execution and follow-up.
4. familiarity with us gaap and reporting to hq abroad (germany or the u.s.).
