_*_textiles venado rojo _*(ciudad acuña, coahuila) is seeking an experienced contador público certificado (cpc) or a mexican accounting institute graduate with over 5 years of accounting experience, a deep understanding of financial reporting standards, expertise in the maquila sector, and proficiency in tax matters.

*key responsibilities*:
- ensure compliance with local and international financial reporting standards.
- prepare accurate monthly & yearly financial statements and reports.
- provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- oversee accounting operations and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- manage tax compliance and optimize tax strategies.
- immex program management & reporting
- liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as necessary.
- stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and tax laws.
- prepare weekly maquiladora invoices.
- analyze and reconcile intercompany activity.
- filing of vat refund requirements by sat.
- review of accounting records of all modules (accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, banks).
- tax operations to determine local taxes on a monthly and annual basis.
- support & participate in annual audits and reviews.
- prepare journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations and monthly close.
- process payroll, imss, infonavit, fonacot payments and entries into erp system.
*requirements*:
- bachelor's degree in accounting from a mexican accounting institute.
cpc certification is preferred.
- minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- in-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards (nifrs, ifrs, or us gaap).
- experience working in the maquila sector, with a strong understanding of its unique accounting principles and challenges.
- experience with apparel manufacturing.
- proficiency in tax matters, including vat, income tax, transfer pricing, and other relevant regulations.
- strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
- 100% fluent in both english and spanish.
- must be willing and able to travel to canada, usa, & internationally.
