Responsibilities
- Leads Global purchasing activities and guides relevant internal stakeholders to ensure purchasing strategies and contracts are implemented locally
- Manages specific supplier activities to ensure that General priorities and deliverables are met
- Deploys Global purchasing in alignment with global category strategies
- Purchases and expedites complex products and items, which requires good understanding of technical specifications
- Analyses and evaluates different suppliers on the basis of overall set strategies to ensure that the chosen suppliers are appropriate according to strategy
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers within set parameters to assure supplier compliance
- Monitor logistics to meet requirements
- Maintain effective supplier relationships and communicate with suppliers to obtain desired results
- Ensure on-time shipments and deliveries
- Follow Quality issues to suppliers and track NCR resolution
- Set positive example with personal performance and maintain a positive work environment
- Promote a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field is desired
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
- Record of effective use of an ERP system
- Working knowledge of MRP systems
- Ability to develop and maintain good relationships on all levels with customers and internally
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
