have you ever wondered how music licenses work, what goes into publishing royalties, or what our music partners cared about for data that we generate? The amazon music publishing (amp) team tie our music licensors and publishing experience with our internal fin-tech teams. We build the end to end platform for publisher royalty calculations, reporting, validations, and other components to aid in this e2e experience. Spun up in 2021, we are underway in developing a brand new platform built entirely in aws leveraging the latest and greatest technologies. The team owns components in backend services, front-end, and big data using spark scala.

the role will help develop and bolster existing big data infrastructure and software. Technologies that the role would be working with include spark scala / emr, airflow, rds, and other aws technologies.
About the team
our team is a brand new team spun up in '21 to build out a multi-year platform for our publishing business. We are building our system leveraging the latest and greatest aws technologies and practices. We have a great team with low operational load in a fun organization.
- masters' degree in computer science
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- proficiency in object-oriented design
- strong coding ability using java
- strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
- understanding of software engineering processes and best practices.
