Essential Functions Performed
Performs assignments and may assist in planning assignments of a non-routine nature for which operational precedents are not fully applicable.
Assists supervisor with prioritizing and adjusting work duties as needed.
Develops test and process procedures.
Ensures valid processes on mold machines, auxiliary equipment, and robots.
Stops production if there is a problem with the product, personnel safety, or potential damage to the equipment and/or tool and process.
Ensures that correct materials are utilized, safety checks are performed, and that room organization and cleanliness are maintained.
Troubleshoots throughout the molding process to ensure maximum machine utilization, production, and quality.
Performs safety checks, cleaning of molds, greasing, and other maintenance tasks.
Reads blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, and ladder logic.
Changes inserts and cores as required.
Recommends improvements to molds and equipment.
Trains molding operators in the safe operation of machines and equipment.
Ensures that documents are filled out correctly.
Ensures safety and housekeeping policies are followed.
Follows engineering and maintenance standards, procedures, Molding MPS, GPS, QAP, and standard operating procedures.
Assists supervisor in their absence by assigning work and ensuring proper and efficient completion of tasks.
Provides supervisor input regarding employee performance.
May assist Mold Engineers in testing repaired tools and validating new tools.
Performs and prioritizes multiple duties, adjusting schedules as necessary.
Performs other related duties as required.
Physical/Environmental Demands
Lifting not to exceed 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Seven years of molding experience, with three in machine and tooling setup.
Ability to understand materials and processes, identify problems, and implement corrections.
Ability to learn and retain key information about molded parts.
Detail-oriented with good manual dexterity.
Effective communication and human relations skills.
Team player attributes.
Computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, and databases.
