we are seeking a seasoned forestry manager to spearhead our global timber procurement initiatives.
the successful candidate will collaborate with the global procurement leadership in identifying, contracting, and developing projects with timber investment management organizations (timos) and timberland real-estate investment trusts (reits).
* bachelor's or master's degree in forestry, natural resource management, environmental science, forest engineering, or forest economics is required.
* excellent english proficiency is essential.
the ideal candidate will have advanced understanding of timberland investment, finance, and management processes. They must be able to negotiate price and payment terms with timo representatives and drive costs down monthly.
the selected forestry manager will deliver timber-related projects on time, develop new sources of supply globally, identify opportunities to partner with timos and reits, map the landscape of these organizations, assess and recommend suppliers for timber covering multiple regions in the americas, and support execution of contracts or slas with chosen partners.
