Head of sales and marketing strategybunkhouse valle de guadalupe, a luxury lifestyle resort nestled in mexico's wine country, is seeking an experienced sales and marketing professional to drive innovative strategies that achieve tangible results.job description:the successful candidate will oversee the sales and marketing department, driving efforts to meet or exceed projected revenue targets for the hotel and its f&b venues.they will develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies, leveraging their extensive network and market knowledge to promote the property.in collaboration with the general manager and corporate teams, they will strategically plan and set overall business goals, identifying opportunities to enhance the hotel's position in the market.required skills and qualifications:high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; bachelor's degree in hospitality management preferred.five or more years of related progressive sales experience in luxury hotel environments, with two years at a director level in a similar setting.prior 'lifestyle' hotel brand experience highly desirable.experience working as a dosm in mexico, with knowledge of operating an internationally branded hotel as it relates to hotel operations, finances, employee & safety compliance, and guest/personnel matters.demonstrated in-depth knowledge of local, regional, and global markets, f&b, and travel and tourism trends.fluency in english and spanish, with additional languages proficiency advantageous.strong understanding of strategic planning, brand management, corporate communications, performance analytics, budgeting, project management, partner relations, lead generation.ability to effectively present financials, strategies, and presentations to stakeholders.business acumen, forward-thinking approach, analyzing business opportunities, proposing cost-management initiatives and efficiencies, short and long-term goal planning, forecasting, profit and loss analytics.lead-from-the-front mentality, team engagement, ambassador role to the property and hyatt brand.excellent interpersonal skills, establishing and maintaining relationships with ownership, corporate, hotel employees, clients, vendors, and the community.effective verbal and written communication skills, calm challenge handling, proposing corrective solutions.flexibility in work schedules, presence required by business demand levels.knowledgeable in current health and safety guidelines related to covid-19 response management.proficient in computer systems including microsoft suite and hospitality systems.legal authorization to work in mexico.familiarity with mexico applicable regulations and legislation.benefits:being part of bunkhouse and the hyatt family means having space to be yourself.
