responsibilities
the following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
* performs a variety of routine design assignments, with increasing responsibility, under the direction of a project engineer.
* develops project plans, sections, and details consistent with mark-ups and design direction.
* maintains strong working knowledge of the ssoe modeling standards and client-driven delivery requirements.
* assembles and checks construction documents for quality.
* prepares basic layouts of structural systems for review by the project engineer.
* has occasional external customer contact.
* participates in continuing education and training to develop and apply innovative ideas and keep abreast of state-of-the-art technology (e.g., evaluate and learn new software packages).
* coordinates structural system layout with other disciplines to minimize design clashes.
qualifications
* high school diploma required or an associate's degree in architecture or engineering design.
* seven (7) years of related designer experience with previous employers.
* advanced revit experience.
* experience in industrial projects.
* experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
* advanced english skills.
