Project supervisor (pipes & fire protection systems)

responsibilities
* monitor pipes for water, compressed air, gas, and steam.
* verify optimizations on layouts to reduce pressure losses and installation costs.
* verify calculation of pipe diameters and materials according to required flow and pressure.
* ensure continuous supply and avoid interference with conveyors and equipment.
* supervise preventive maintenance and detect leaks or pressure drops.
* monitor fire protection by evaluating risks in critical areas.
* verify fire protection network design by locating hydrants, sprinklers, and hose cabinets at strategic points, ensuring full coverage in compliance with regulations.
* sizing pumps and reserve tanks to guarantee sufficient pressure and flow in emergencies, while integrating alarms and detectors with auxiliary systems.
* conduct periodic tests and drills, training personnel in equipment use and evacuation protocols to ensure effective response.
* create supervision reports, construction logbooks (digital or physical), photographic evidence of progress and findings, and incident reports and recommendations.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in engineering, electronic, mechanical, mechatronics or a related field.
* 5 years of proven experience supervising similar projects as project supervisor and manager.
* technical knowledge of hvac.
* knowledge of applicable regulations (nom, nmx, nfpa, local regulations).
* ability to prepare technical and photographic reports.
* experience at an oem.
* knowledge of project documentation is an advantage.
* fluent english.
contract: 6‑month contract. Available to rotate shifts.
