The quality engineer will report to quality manager and is responsible for improving and sustaining our quality performance to world-class levels.
his/her drives the achievement of the safety, quality, delivery, environmental, cost and people (sqdecp) objectives. You achieve success in partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
description/responsibility
* · drive continuous improvement of quality by ensuring proper use of tools, procedures, and data, achieving world‐class performance across all key quality kpis.
* ensure effective implementation of the quality management system (qms), including iso 9001, and lead the development and maintenance of procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
* lead quality initiatives and projects with cross‐functional teams, fostering a strong problem‐solving culture and building internal capabilities.
* collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and supplier quality to strengthen processes for monitoring, containing, and communicating supplier and product quality issues, including field actions.
* participate in meetings, workshops, and assigned projects while maintaining compliance with company policies and developing a strong network of trained quality points of contact (pocs).
skills/qualifications
* proven record of quality improvement initiatives required; in manufacturing environment preferred.
* excellent written and oral communication skills in english, with strong presentation skills.
* ability to communicate respectfully, efficiently, and effectively within a multi-cultural and international environment.
minimum education and experience
* · the ideal candidate for this position has a bachelor of science in engineering/production or supply chain management, or similar field, required.
* · solid knowledge on quality management system implementation with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* · ability to set demanding targets and then motivate teams / individuals to deliver outside their comfort zones.
