The role requires an understanding of the business and the integrated management system in order to provide onsite support. The role has a responsibility in providing high quality and timely support to customer service, the sales team, and the manufacturing staff of the organization.what you'll be doing:supervise the qa lab and all designated employeeswork closely with the local manufacturing team, company's product specialists, and other departments and company locations as neededensure timely, accurate qa measurements on incoming, in process, and finished productsensure that coa's are prepared in a timely fashion to allow shipment of product on schedulemaintain all qa laboratory facilities in calibrated good working ordermaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentmaintaining accurate and organized records for the quality departmentfacilitate training for existing and new members of the quality assurance teamprepare and maintain quality plans and fmeasverify inspections and tests are in accordance with control plansdefine workmanship standards and maintain responsibility for outgoing qualitycoordinate and follow up on in-house and customer corrective actionsdisposition nonconforming productproviding a high energy ongoing internal auditing function to ensure that iso standards are a companywide culture, which is maintained at a constant level throughout the year.formally leading a preventative program to identify and prioritize areas of weakness and then leading improvement projects to address the problems.reporting integrated management system measurables at the ims & management review monthly meetings:maintaining internal and external iso audit resultswhat you need to succeed:requirementsfluent in english and spanishassociates degree in quality or science field5 years experience working in a laboratory position in the polymer industryexcellent oral and written communication skillsproficiency with the ms office suite of programsunderstanding of iso and automotive standardspreferred skillsbs degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer technology or polymer engineeringprior supervisory and/or leadership experiencebasic understanding of statistical methodsfamiliarity with the compounding, processing and testing of polyolefinsexperience in writing internal technical reportsformal training as a lead auditor for isowhy you'll love working here & what we offerat saco aei polymers, you'll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values innovation, integrity, and impact.
