position purpose:
this position is responsible for creating a detailed production schedule using sap to meet customer demand requirements while minimizing inventory investment and maximizing capacity utilization and productivity in the production lines. The scheduler must ensure the preparation of capacity analysis, manpower allocation, and raw material availability to program the production lines efficiently. The scheduler must also create data gathering analyses related to demand fluctuations to guide material planners in controlling inventory in the supply chain. Additionally, this position oversees master data creation for new part numbers to ensure correct capacity balancing for production lines.
main responsibilities:
* work with the corporate supply chain to receive plan orders and assign, schedule, maintain, and load schedules through assigned mrp controllers to meet customer demand.
* convert plan orders into production orders based on demand requirements.
* analyze and calculate line capacity to balance and fulfill customer demands.
* assess the flexibility of production lines to assign shifts based on personnel availability.
* analyze material delivery and move orders to align with customer requests where possible.
* schedule expedited orders to ensure fulfillment according to customer needs.
* schedule ppap orders and track progress.
* monitor the percentage of scrap reported for production lines to balance production demands.
* provide scrap reports to control the annex 24 in the immex program.
* coordinate with the maintenance department to schedule preventive maintenance during the year.
* provide wip reports to monitor production floor storage and compare inventory in parts versus usd value.
* address mps exception messages in sap.
* measure and monitor schedule attainment; participate in daily tmos meetings.
* participate in weekly meetings for mps, work plan, and capacity demand.
* perform capacity evaluations and leveling for all installed lines, including heat treatment lines.
* recommend changes to work center availability, utilization, and rates.
* control and execute the master data creation process for launched part numbers at sjo plant.
* maintain and correct master data using npm processes for ferts & halbs at sjo plant.
* monitor tooling lifetime to ensure the availability of tooling used in programming production lines.
* complete production orders technically and troubleshoot confirmation issues in sap.
education / experience:
required – bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
