job summary:
we are seeking an experienced and strategic snowflake architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our snowflake data platform. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in snowflake and cloud data architecture, with strong experience in data modeling, elt/etl pipelines, performance tuning, and data governance.
key responsibilities:
* design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance snowflake data warehouse solutions .
* collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define architecture standards and data strategies.
* lead the migration of legacy data platforms to snowflake from on-prem or other cloud platforms.
* develop and optimize data pipelines (etl/elt) using tools such as dbt, matillion, talend, or informatica .
* ensure data security, compliance, and governance across all snowflake environments.
* guide best practices for data modeling (star/snowflake schema), partitioning, and clustering .
* monitor and fine-tune performance of snowflake queries, warehouses, and workloads.
* mentor and support data engineers, analysts, and developers working within the snowflake environment.
* stay updated on snowflake releases, cloud architecture trends, and modern data platforms.
required skills & qualifications:
* bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
* 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3+ years in snowflake .
* deep expertise in sql, snowflake architecture, snowpipe, streams & tasks, and data sharing .
* experience with cloud platforms (aws, azure, or gcp).
* strong knowledge of data integration tools (e.g., dbt, fivetran, informatica, matillion).
* familiarity with python or scripting for automation.
* experience with ci/cd, version control (git), and devops practices is a plus.
* excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
preferred qualifications:
* snowflake certification (snowpro core or advanced architect) is highly desirable.
* experience integrating snowflake with bi tools such as tableau, power bi, or looker.
* exposure to data lakes, data mesh, and real-time streaming (kafka, apache spark, etc.).
