We are seeking a *senior business analyst* with a strong background in financial services to collaborate on data science and analytics initiatives.
This role involves gathering and translating complex business requirements into actionable solutions, working closely with data scientists, technical teams, and business stakeholders to enable impactful, data-driven decision-making.
*responsibilities*
- collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and technical teams to gather and document business requirements
- translate business needs into user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria using tools like jira
- work alongside technical system analysts to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementations
- participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- analyze data and processes to help shape data science models and organizational solutions
- address incidents and support troubleshooting to minimize business disruption
- ensure projects align with business objectives and deliver ongoing value
*requirements*:
- 3+ years of business analysis experience in financial services or wealth management
- familiarity with business analysis techniques such as requirements gathering and process mapping
- experience working with data science teams and understanding of machine learning principles
- proficiency in jira and agile methodologies for tools and processes like backlog management and user story creation
- background in using bi tools such as tableau, power bi, or comparable platforms
- knowledge of cloud platforms such as aws, azure, or gcp
- strong skills in communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving
