key responsibilities:
1. provide subject matter expertise for crane automation systems and related operational technology components.
2. offer technical guidance and support to terminal personnel, including crane controllers.
3. review and analyze equipment breakdowns, maintenance history, and implement improvements to prevent failures.
4. participate in incident and damage investigations as needed.
5. develop a specialized team in automation & ot through ongoing training.
6. ensure effective communication processes among crane controllers, maintenance supervisors, and operations.
7. manage automation & ot modifications and new projects to enhance crane performance.
8. provide input for local procurement and maintain work instructions and sops.
9. manage vendor services related to automation & ot, including abb, siemens, etc.
key requirements:
education:
* b.s. in electrical, electronic, mechatronic, software engineering, or related field.
* master’s degree is a plus.
formation:
* basic knowledge of iso 9001-2015 and iso 14001-2015 standards.
* proficiency in plc programming languages (sfc, fbd, lad, st, stl).
* experience with object-oriented hmi development.
* knowledge of drives, inverters, communication protocols (profinet, profibus, ethernet, asi, canbus).
* understanding of control processors, hardware configuration, networks, and control systems.
experience:
* at least 5 years in software fault diagnosis.
* minimum 8 years in maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in port, mining, or manufacturing industries.
* knowledge of variable speed drives, inverters, and medium-high voltage systems.
