What will you do?
in this position you will design, develop and validate the manufacturing processes. You also will contribute to the buildup of new production cells, generating the technical information of production processes. You will also maintain and improve existing manufacturing methods while supporting johnson controls’ capacity expansion plans.
how will you do it?
* implement, promote, and maintain a safe work environment by fostering a culture of accident prevention, investigation, and compliance with safety rules.
* design manufacturing cells and calculate and control optimal capacities of production lines and fabrication processes.
* verify time standards and calculate earned hours per family products.
* implement engineering changes and facilitate a3 problem‑solving.
* design future‑state value streams and create technical documentation (standard worksheets, oms, ods, fmea, dfam, etc.).
* contribute to the advancement of the organization through jcms.
* support the sharing of best practices resulting from internal and external benchmarking activities.
* evaluate and modify layouts of production lines and production cells.
* work with multidisciplinary groups to implement lean manufacturing.
* drive process‑related activities for new product introduction from early planning stages into full production.
* coach, mentor, and train manufacturing technicians within the manufacturing team.
what are we looking for?
* industrial, mechatronic, or mechanical engineering degree.
* 3+ years of experience in harness manufacturing processes.
* 3+ years of experience with cable and wire machines and tools: cut, strip, and terminate, crimp, terminals punching, wire marking, and testers.
* autocad experience.
