purpose: coordinates the activities of personnel who are involved in one or more maintenance, ehs, quality or metrology tasks according to quantity and quality specifications.
description: coordinate and optimize manufacturing resources in the areas of production, maintenance or metrology to operate safely and ensuring the quality of products in the required times, as well as adhere and contribute to the objectives of the company.
main activities:
* coordinates the activities of personnel who are involved in one or more maintenance, ehs, quality or metrology tasks to ensure the continuous flow of work as well as project compliance according to quantity and quality specifications.
* analyzes and solves work problems or assists others in solving work problems.
* participates in recruitment, performance evaluations of direct reports (technical evaluation), and recommends relevant development plans. Recommends promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
* ensure that employees always have the proper training, equipment, and tools to perform their work efficiently and on time.
* take care of the discipline of the staff, as well as keep track of attendance, permits, vacations, punctuality, delays, etc.
* be attentive to the new manufacturing system and the communication to employees
* ensure that the equipment is working in optimal conditions.
* may have meetings with other leaders to coordinate the activities of individual departments.
* ensure order and cleanliness in their respective areas, always focusing on the safety of their staff in charge.
* follow established safety regulations as well as use personal protective equipment for example: safety glasses and footwear.

knowledge required for supervision in metrology area
in addition to the above, to perform supervisory functions in metrology it is necessary to have a high level of knowledge in:
* calibration and functionality of instruments and equipment.
* administration of databases and screens in tagms, tress, cics.
* development of calibration program (external) and service.
* preparation of purchase requisitions (calibration, service, consumables, etc.).
* update and integration of calibration equipment records.
education: bachelor's degree (desirable)
experience required:
* between 1 to 3 years in the implementation of production programs or experience in metrology.
* green belt certificate
