The indirect mro category manager is responsible for activities needed to implement strategic purchasing objectives working closely with business partners globally to align with business requirements. Assured compliance with customer related and regulatory requirements regarding the molex supply base
*responsibilities*
- develop and execute global category strategies by working closely with business partners and regional mro category leaders focused structure programs and projects for the business to achieve the best economical outcome
- collaborate with koch group companies to locate and develop synergies and hard savings across mro
- function as the single point of contact for identifying synergy opportunities with new acquisitions’
- advise business about similar strategies employed by other “best in class” companies and other koch entities
- lead multidisciplinary teams regarding projects to maximize total cost of ownership benefits
- provide leadership and guidance in the following areas: stimulate creativity / innovation in others, foster innovative ideas, support those who initiate change and take risks, promote a global perspective
- generate a collaborative environment and strong relationships among senior plant leadership and key stakeholders across various functions
- drives total cost of ownership benefits through analytics, clearly defined category taxonomy and managed baseline
- familiarity with sourcing process for chemicals used in production
- knowledge of best practices used in vending machines management for mro
- create and maintain supplier relationships toward business increase and mutual benefits
- monitor market dynamics for category across regions and americas region
- manage category projects across businesses and company-wide when and where applicable and lead projects based on category expertise
- understand, support, and comply with current molex policies and practices related business programs. Including but not limited to government regulations, international standards organization (iso) and environmental, and/or health and safety (eh&s), six sigma & lean manufacturing, total quality management (tqm), and management systems

- business acumen with a base understanding of p&ls, cash flow and balance sheets including value-adds, continuous improvement and the time value of money.
- solid business analytical and procurement analytical skills
- clear and concise verbal and written communication skills in english and spanish
- strong problem solving, organizational and project management skills with the ability to work with multiple functions in locations throughout the world.
- application experience with coupa, sap, ariba, microsoft office products word, excel and powerpoint
*preferred qualifications*
- bachelor’s degree in supply chain management.
- master’s degree in business administration or other related graduate degree.
- procurement experience across multiple industries and categories.
- experience in non-procurement functions
- basic cross-functional project management experience or pm certified.
- previous international work assignments/experience.
- application experience with sap, ms office products (word, excel, powerpoint).
