responsibilities
collaborate with the director of revenue management, director of sales and marketing, and directors of catering & events to ensure new group and local business opportunities align with meeting space inventory strategy and each hotel's strategic goals.
provide business intelligence and analyze leads by assessing the total health of each group and event, evaluating space available to sell, considering latest booking trends, and reviewing historical performance of a particular week.
optimize the hotel revenue stream and generate a competitive index against other hotels in the marketplace.
space optimization, sales strategy, and food & beverage optimization.
supportive functions: analyze hotel activity data and present to the sales team and associated groups to assist in determining pricing strategy and sales forecast to maximize hotel inventory and capitalize on opportunities.
engage extensively with the director of revenue management, director of sales & marketing, directors of catering & events, and all group and local sales managers.
additional responsibilities
understand fully hotel products and operations.
review business plans, identify gaps, and implement proactive measures to reach capacity and meet targets.
understand the competition and make recommendations to help the hotel management team respond accordingly.
collaborate with dorm, dosm, and doce(s) to reevaluate sales strategy annually (or as needed) and adjust group coverage targets, peak night guidance for space allocation, and grc targets.
interact effectively with hotel colleagues.
