required qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in actuary (degree required / not unfinished degree)
* strong regulatory knowledge of ifrs 4, ifrs 17, local regulatory (sii) and framework solvencia ii
* proven knowledge of reserve methodologies
* experience handling large databases ( sql or equivalent tools ).
* advanced programming skills in sql or similar languages .
* solid foundation in statistics and probability
* previous experience within insurance companies .
* experience developing reserving methodologies for life and/or non-life products .
* advanced english proficiency (verbal, written, and technical).
your challenge
you will play a key role in ensuring solid experience on reserve models and forecast within a highly regulated and constantly evolving environment. The position also contributes to the optimization and automation of actuarial processes, supporting business decision-making through high-quality analytical insights.
key responsibilities
* prepare valuation, budgets, and performance analysis under solvency ii, ifrs 4, ifrs 17, and local regulatory frameworks (sii) at the end of each month.
* monitor and analyze key business performance indicators and trends (kpis)
* prepare and validate regulatory information submissions to the mexican insurance regulator (cnsf) .
* validate, maintain, and automate actuarial projection models .
* develop reserve methodologies for life and/or non-life insurance products .
* support the creation, evaluation, and valuation design of new insurance products
* manage and monitor methodologies used in projections (actuarial valuation)
* produce reports and presentations of reserving results for internal committees and stakeholders.
* proactively participate in strategic initiatives aimed at process optimization and data quality improvement .
* coordinate and/or execute testing activities across different projects.
* support internal and external audit processes .
