Mission:
as part of our dedicated services team, your mission will be to perform on-site maintenance and optimization of building management systems (bms) with a strong focus on energy efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will help redefine industry standards by challenging conventional approaches and driving innovation in building automation.
key responsibilities:
* perform both condition-based and planned preventive maintenance (ppm) on schneider electric bms systems across a key customer portfolio in the devon and cornwall region.
* identify and implement energy efficiency improvements and enhance user experience through system optimization.
* troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, including participation in an on-call rota for out-of-hours support.
* ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and internal policies.
* deliver detailed technical reports that provide insights and added value to our customers.
skills and attributes:
* proficient in software fault finding and diagnostics in systems such as bms, plcs, scada, automated control systems, web services, or cloud-based platforms.
* understanding of hvac systems and building automation (preferred, but not essential—training provided).
* strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning and sharing best practices.
* familiarity with electrical circuits and technical drawings (desirable).
* knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (desirable).
* basic understanding of it systems, including ip addressing and port configuration (desirable).
* high regard for health, safety, and sustainability practices.
* proficiency in microsoft office tools (outlook, word, excel).
* strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
education and qualifications:
* degree or technical qualification in an engineering discipline (preferably electrical, but not essential).
