Vice President & General Manager (Country Manager) – Mexico Operations

Kensington International is partnering with a US-based, global, engineering-driven manufacturer to identify a Vice President & General Manager to lead its Mexico operations. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing a rapidly scaling manufacturing facility in Monterrey.

The Opportunity

Our client has recently established a strategic manufacturing operation in Mexico to support accelerating customer demand and global growth. The business is entering a period of significant expansion, with plans to rapidly scale revenue and headcount. This leader will have full responsibility for site performance and will play a critical role in building a world-class operation, driving operational excellence while scaling people, processes, and culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations including production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and maintenance
• Own performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity
• Scale the organization to support rapid growth while maintaining high standards
• Drive Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and execution discipline
• Lead complex manufacturing processes including PCBA / SMT
• Ensure compliance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements (including IMMEX)
• Partner closely with U.S.-based leadership on strategy and financial performance
• Build, develop, and retain a high-performing, engaged team

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Proven senior leadership experience in electronics
• Expertise in PCBA / SMT operations strongly preferred
• Experience operating in U.S.–Mexico manufacturing environments
• Track record of successfully scaling operations (capacity, team, systems)
• Strong operational and financial acumen
• Hands-on leader with a bias for action and accountability
• Fluent in English and Spanish
