responsibilities
ingeniero de desarrollo del producto: investigate, design, code and release engineering systems with a focus on low and high voltage for new vehicle platforms, concentrating on the development of new technologies for electric, hybrid vehicles and new electronic architectures and battery management systems (bms). Includes energy storage systems and charging systems, requiring strong experience in automotive electrical/electronic standards and development for xev. Fluency in english is required for constant communication with germany and other locations.
in this role you will be responsible for:
* analyze icms to monitor, respond to requested change requirements, update designs, and ensure dmu corrections to enable releases according to the specifications of each product.
* lead integration efforts for diverse high-voltage components, such as the battery, traction units, and high-voltage wiring; validate and design installation proposals for electric chargers.
* participate in design reviews and technical discussions to ensure high-voltage system designs meet safety, performance and reliability requirements.
* optimize parts and logistics management, both physically and digitally, to ensure efficient testing and prototyping; identify opportunities to improve processes and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
* plan and perform full engineering prototype assembly or system-specific assemblies according to design information and issue reports to validate functionality or required adjustments.
* identify and quantify improvements for charger site designs, considering user experience, environmental conditions, legal limits, cost and standardization.
* develop and adapt high-voltage requirements and work with hardware, software, architecture, safety and other equipment to ensure compliance with mexican regulations and daimler policies.
* conduct functional safety analyses and fault prevention for electrical and software subsystems to ensure proper xev operation.
* maintain the integrated management system to comply with certification programs.
* act in strict compliance with local and international regulations applicable, such as the fcpa, daimler truck code of conduct, and any other policy and procedure established for daimler truck.
qualifications
education:
* electrical/electronic engineering, mechatronics, or related field
* master's degree desirable
experience:
* more than 2 years in automotive design and electronic architectures for low and high voltage (desirable)
* knowledge of relevant safety codes and regulations (desirable)
* high-voltage certification (desirable)
specific knowledge:
* nx / mechanical and electrical design software
* 3d dmu handling
* high-voltage automotive systems and electric/hybrid vehicle systems (desirable)
* safety principles for low and high voltage topics
