As a member of the Data & Insights team, you will help turn raw data into actionable insights that guide product strategy and operational decisions. This role contributes to scalable data infrastructure, data quality initiatives, and data‑driven decision making across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
You will collaborate with backend engineers, data scientists, and business leaders to design and implement data pipelines, data lakes, and analytics that empower growth, improve club performance, and ultimately deliver exceptional experiences to players and clubs globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support real‑time and batch analytics across product and business domains.
- Own data flow architecture, ensuring data is clean, accessible, and reliable for engineering, product, and analytics teams.
- Build and optimize pipelines using Kafka, Airflow, and cloud‑native tooling; manage data lakes and warehouses with Iceberg, S3, and Snowflake/ClickHouse/Redshift.
- Ensure data quality and governance across the entire data lifecycle, implementing monitoring, testing, and observability practices.
- Collaborate closely with analysts and engineers to define metrics, dashboards, and ML workflows; contribute to internal tooling for data visibility and developer experience.
- Improve data reliability, scalability, and performance; empower stakeholders with trusted data to drive product decisions and business outcomes.

- Design and implement end‑to‑end data pipelines, maintain data quality, and enable trusted analytics for product, growth, and operations teams.
- Work with streaming technologies (Kafka), orchestration (Airflow), and cloud data platforms to support both real‑time and batch processing.
- Contribute to data governance, observability, and tooling that improves the developer experience and accelerates decision‑making across the organization.
Your impact
Deliver reliable data infrastructure that supports key metrics, business intelligence, A/B testing, and ML workflows. Your work will directly influence product strategy, club operations, and the player experience on a global scale.
What we expect
- 5+ years in data engineering.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Experience with streaming and orchestration tools (Kafka, Airflow).
- Familiarity with OLAP databases and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- A proactive mindset with a passion for data quality and scalable design.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with ClickHouse, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar OLAP databases.
- Hands‑on knowledge of DataOps or MLOps at scale.
- Exposure to data versioning formats (Parquet, Iceberg, Delta Lake).
- Familiarity with LLMs, agents, and AI‑powered data workflows.
- Certifications in AWS, Snowflake, or related platforms.
- Strong communication skills and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a bias for action and ability to balance speed with data quality and governance in a dynamic startup setting.
