We are seeking an experienced cost accountant to join our team within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing production costs, maintaining accurate cost records, and providing leadership with data‑driven insights that enhance operational efficiency and overall profitability
* maintain and analyze standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
* perform monthly cost variance analysis and present findings to management.
* support month‑end close activities, including preparing journal entries and completing account reconciliations.
* monitor inventory transactions and ensure accuracy of boms, routings, and production reporting.
* conduct periodic inventory audits and participate in cycle counts.
* prepare cost models for new products, process updates, and capital projects.
* collaborate with production and engineering teams to understand cost drivers and recommend process improvements.
* assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to manufacturing costs.
* ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies.
* bachelor’s degree in accounting.
* minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
* strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and cost analysis.
* proficiency with erp systems (e.g., sap, oracle, netsuite, or similar).
* advanced excel skills.
* strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
preferred qualifications / competencies
* experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
* cpa, cma, or active progress toward certification.
* experience in high‑volume or complex manufacturing operations.
