about the role:
as a functional business analyst, you will be the face of fis, working closely with our customers as they implement our solutions, and, as we change the way the world banks. You will examine processes and operational needs of our customers and translate them into functional specifications. After assessing all client needs, you will create a roadmap that will guide clients through the process while you teach them our products and coach them through setup and integration.
what you will be doing:
• serve as the key liaison between the client and the team for mutual alignment.
• analyse business requirements and their impact on existing processes, systems and tools.
• expertly researches and documents client needs, technology or regulations related to system design, enhancement and acquiring hardware or software that will impact multiple platforms and/or applications.
• collaborate with architects and technical teams to evaluate solutions.
• defines product scope, objectives and requirements. Defines specifications and data models for product development and testing.
• document solutions and ensure legal compliance.
• provide customer support by effective root cause analysis of the issues reported.
• provide data driven insights and recommendations for process improvement.
• maintain strong knowledge of customer operations.
• training customers on new systems and procedures.
what you will need:
• the ability to translate client requirements to technical specifications and then explain these concepts to customer groups.
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent human relations, negotiation and documentation skills, along with strong communication.
• a bachelor’s in business or a related field or the equivalent experience
• ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• basic sql knowledge
added bonus if you have:
• good knowledge of banking, payments or card/dispute management products.
• experience in web services/api, sql/rdbms.
• good to have: experience in testing, ms azure cloud, iso 8583
• tools: git, jenkins, jira
