*overall objective*:
to work with chief business operations officer and global head - centre of excellence to run a cenx office in mexico.
also, work with multiple stakeholders.
to assume supervisory responsibility for the centre of excellence employees in mexico, ensuring complete visibility for the business on all decisions, administrative processes and budget considerations relating to their recruitment, ongoing employment, conduct and wellbeing.
*key tasks and responsibilities*
- to work with global head - centre of excellence to ensure smooth functioning of mexico office once it is setup.
- to work with the cenx management team to standardize the cenx model and services across all cenx locations.
- define and enlarge the scope of services to be shared for regional purposes (efficiency, security, and cost benefits)
- quickly establish solid relationships with business unit leadership and other senior executives.
ensure customer satisfaction by leading the collaborative development of service level agreements, adhering to those agreements and monitoring costs, quality and timeliness.
*talent recruitment*
- working closely with hr and relevant global directors/head of all cenx functions to keep an overview on all open cenx positions, ensuring consistency in recruitment processes and offering local-market insight to assist with the job offer and salary decisions
hr bp and ops
- working alongside the hr business partner to help formulate new or updated policies relating to the mexico office and its employees, liaising with global function heads to see that the policies are designed with all teams in mind
- to use local knowledge to advise hr on contractual benefits, ensuring standardization of benefits across cenx teams
*legal and governance*
- to ensure we have fulfilled all the compliance-related requirements to operate in mexico with the help of the legal and governance team
- to the best of your ability to keep yougov's company secretary, corporate team, and global head - centre of excellence informed of any changes in local regulations which may impact yougov
logistics & it
- using knowledge of recruitment plans, ensure that each new starter can be accommodated in the office and have access to the right equipment to do their job.
*office space*
- to help on local execution of any office-space specific decisions
- to highlight to senior management any issues with the office space management (e.g. company/building owner, landlords, facilities management, etc.)
*3rd party vendors and suppliers*
- under direction from the relevant business units (e.g. It / corporate ) to be responsible for all cenx related vendor/supplier relationships, seeking out local partners, negotiating deals, ongoing relationship management
*supervision of cenx employees*
- to provide solid local leadership of all cenx employees, working with the global heads of their teams to make sure everyone is equipped to do their jobs, is aware of their responsibilities and adhering to our group codes of conduct
- when requested, to provide stakeholders with regular feedback on their team members in the cenx
- to establish an office culture that embodies our company values and motivates execs to want to exceed targets
- to be the first port of call for any day to day issues the team might be facing, being sure to escalate to the relevant department head where necessary
management of admin team/facilities team
- to line manage the office manager
- to oversee all office management tasks and processes, ensuring they are being carried out with optimal efficiency and a sensible approach
- to best utilize the time of the office manager to assist with meeting overall operational goals for the mexico office
*qualifications*:
- 10+ years of general professional experience in operation, management including at least five years of management experience in shared service centre /centre of excellence setup or functioning
- bachelor's degree in business or business-related (accounting, finance, business, etc.) is required.
