Job Summary
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting daily HR operations, executing human resources policies, and ensuring compliance with Mexican labor laws, including NOM-035. This role involves employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, and wellness initiatives, with a focus on creating a compliant and positive work environment for employees
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding
- Prepare and deliver employment documents (contracts, NDAs, benefits forms, etc.)
- Collaborate with IT for account provisioning, asset deployment, and systems access.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems.
- Conduct onboarding sessions and provide training on core systems (e.g., HRIS, BAI, Worky, payroll portals, internal tools).
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee concerns.
- Mediate and resolve employee conflicts and disciplinary issues.
- Promote a positive workplace culture in hybrid environments.
- Organize virtual and in-person engagement activities.
- Manage resignation and termination processes in accordance with local employment laws (Mexico's LFT).
- Ensure timely deactivation of system access and collection of assets.
- Coordinate final pay, severance (as required by Mexican law), and benefits termination.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends.
- Partner with Legal/Compliance for documentation and case management in sensitive exits (involuntary, layoffs, etc.).
HR Processes & Procedures Implementation:
- Standardize Mexico processes with USA.
- Define workflows for HRIS requests, approvals, timing, etc.
- Implement document digitization and centralized employee file systems.
- Set up communication protocols for remote/hybrid teams according to applicable Mexico regulations.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years’ experience in HR generalist or similar roles in Mexico.
- Knowledge of Mexican labor law and NOM-035 implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace / Microsoft 365.
- English: Intermediate to Advanced (B2 or higher) preferred.
