position overview
coordinate plant activities on manufacturing projects, acting as a liaison between the plant and divisional project managers.
responsibilities
* coordinate and ensure timely execution of activities related to new product launches, transfers, redesigns, and major engineering changes, following established procedures.
* serve as a link between the plant and divisional engineering across different sites, providing solutions to meet departmental needs for project development.
* maintain documentation procedures during project development.
* adhere to company safety policies and standards.
* participate in product launch review meetings.
* prepare quotations for new products.
* analyze engineering changes for effective npi implementation.
* select appropriate equipment based on project requirements.
authority
* manage projects and new product launches.
* facilitate direct communication between division and plant personnel.
* administer ars and account capitalization for npis.
basic requirements
* degree in engineering with over 6 years of experience in a similar role.
* knowledge of jit, doe, poke y yoke, kan ban, smed, fmeas, gr&r, six sigma, 5s, 8d.
* understanding of iso 9000 standards.
* knowledge of electrostatics.
* bilingual in english and spanish.
* problem-solving skills using analytical techniques.
* decision-making abilities.
* leadership qualities and resource management skills.
preferred qualifications
* green belt certification.
* project management experience.
work arrangement
this position is fully in-person and not eligible for hybrid or remote work arrangements.
