The ip routing and integration engineer will perform advanced network integration services in support of nokia service routers in the customer’s networks. Responsibilities include creating methods of procedure (mop), service preparation, mop execution, software upgrades and test and commissioning to include providing trouble shooting support as required for deployment activities.
the engineer must possess product and technology knowledge as follows:
* understanding of ip/mpls routing technology
* understanding of new data center architecture (spine/leaf)
* understanding of mobile front/backhaul deployment
* understanding of end to end bng deployment
* 7950 sr router
ip & routing major technical tasks provided (applicable to level 3 and 4)
level 3/4 resources are qualified to support all level 1&2 services in addition to the services below:
* router turn up ( nokia 7250,7705, 7750 sr1, ixr, or cisco or juniper routers)
* maintenance window preparation and pre-check, run scripts, reboot router, post checks.
* maintenance windows network cut in
* maintenance window cut-over sr hub
* provide site monitoring and troubleshooting support for assigned special events.
* software maint. Window preparation and pre-check, run scripts, reboot router, post checks.
* router sr turn-up for migration large brownfield sr hub
* migration mop preparation
* network integration (staging or field) & validation
* atp creation and approval
* knowledge of microsoft office (ms word, excel, power point, visio)
* research requirements for advanced mop ‘s
* acceptance test plan execution and implementation
* end to end ip routing solutions and design review.
* perform data integrity of routers in preparation of software upgrades.
* perform software upgrades, implementation, integration, and maintenance support as required.
* provide ipv6 telecommunications traffic migration services for customers.
* execute procedures and use proprietary software tools to support deliverables.
* escalate quality issues to improve products and services delivered to the customer.
* monitor network elements after mop execution to ensure no issues are present.
* update/revise mops, sops, and data as a result of lessons learned" from execution phase.
