*key responsibilities*:
- *cost analysis and reporting*: analyze and report on cost variances, production costs, and inventory valuation. Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to management.
- *budgeting and forecasting*: assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into cost trends and potential areas for cost savings.
- *inventory management*: monitor and analyze inventory levels, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting. Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- *standard costing*: develop and maintain standard costing models for products and processes. Update standard costs as necessary based on changes in production methods or material costs.
- *cost control*: identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements. Work closely with production and procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency.
- *financial reporting*: prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to cost accounting. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- *audit support*: provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring all cost accounting records are accurate and up-to-date.
- *team collaboration*: collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to ensure accurate cost data and effective cost management.
*qualifications*:
- bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Cpa or cma certification preferred.
- minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- proficiency in accounting software and erp systems (e.g., sap, oracle).
