reporting to the operations training manager, training specialist will be in charge of developing and conducting training programs for employees within the organization.
responsibilities - contributes to needs investigation studies to define training opportunities within an organization.
- formulates teaching outlines and defines instructional methods such as unipersonal training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
- identifies or develops testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training.
- conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, apprenticeship programs, customer service, sales techniques, health and safety practices, public relations, refresher training, promotional development, upgrading and business development.
- evaluates participants to measure progress and to ascertain effectiveness of training.
- reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
- revises design of training curriculum and methods to improve effectiveness.
qualifications - prior training experience is preferred.
- demonstrates operations and technical skills and comprehension of flex’s functional standards.
- demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and a solid comprehension of flex policies and procedures.
- office skills: office software to include word-processing, spreadsheets, and presentation packages.
