Support and promote strong safety culture.
- confirm compliance and remain current with osha, epa, hazardous waste handling and other regulations.
- responsible for supervision and leadership of hourly employees.
- manage day-to-day operations to maximize production while reducing costs and improving quality, on-time delivery, and safety.
- maintain resources to attain production schedule.
- confirm quality of all operations through conformance to internal/external requirements.
- lead industry practices such as 5s, tpm, kaizen programs and cost reduction in area assigned.
- monitor and take steps to improve record accuracy within job function.
- deliver support in making equipment and staffing decisions to support long-term business levels
- evaluate group and individual performance through both formal and informal reviews.
- supply training and cross training for all hourly employees.
- administer labor agreement consistently.
to cross train in others areas of the shop including but not limited to machining, welding, maintenance, qa, & assembly to be assigned cross sections of the plant to supervise and to be able to cover other supervisor's areas when they are out of the plant.
