works in all areas associated with casa herradura guest services including tour guide, guest check-in, tasting room, retail store hosting, setting up materials and route provision.
Able to deliver a 3-hour long tour and tasting experience, set up and tear down the tasting room, can perform all front desk operations including answering phones, greeting guests, preparing tickets, and updating tour reservations as well as conducting retail transactions.
*what you will experience*:
*tour guide*:
- deliver walking tours of the distillery daily, engaging guests through compelling brand storytelling. Tours can include a tasting experience.
- manage and lead groups through the casa herradura distillery experience.
- conduct tours of the distillery with a focus on trade/media/by the barrel/business and governmental relations audiences.
- answer questions about brown-forman and casa herradura's history while on tour.
- answer questions pertaining to the herradura production process.
- answer questions about the various herradura expressions.
- confirm guest counts and demographic breakouts with guest services before beginning the tour.
- calculate and station tour and tasting utensils and materials for the group activities of the day.
- ensure all guests are present before beginning the tour, making certain all guests are accounted for throughout the tour and tasting.
- conduct special/elevated tours and tastings as needed.
- drive motor vehicles in order to transport visitors to establishments and tour site locations.
*guest services*:
- serve as the first point of contact, greeting guests upon arrival to the distillery.
- when applicable, process tickets according to the confirmed tour experience.
- process credit card and cash payments for guest tour experiences as requested.
- verify guest identification and annotate u-18 and “no-id” guests accordingly.
- communicate confirmed tour size and demographic breakout to set the tasting room and alert the tour guide.
- answer distillery phones and respond to guest inquiries for all areas of the operation.
- book and adjust tour reservations as necessary and as required.
- processes refunds as required.
- resolve guest concerns and involve the homeplace manager as necessary.
- balance cash drawers, count/handle cash responsibly and accurately.
- operate the current ticketing system.
*tasting room*:
- ensure tasting rooms are set according to casa herradura tasting room guidelines to include the placement of water, food items (when applicable), and tasting expressions.
- ensure expression pours are measured in accordance with the individual tour experience and responsibility guidelines.
- greet and welcome guests as they enter the tasting rooms.
- inventory tasting room supplies weekly
- monitor tour timing during tastings to ensure tours rotate through the tasting in a timely manner.
- clean dishes in between tours.
*retail*:
- represents the casa herradura brands and distillery by being knowledgeable of all products.
- educates guests on casa herradura products and history to promote and sell bottles and other casa herradura products.
- ensures all state laws regarding alcohol sales are being followed at all times.
- operates sap erp, salesforce and current pos system.
- performs opening and closing procedures for the store as needed.
- learns and performs accurate engraving of bottles and performs a quality check.
- restocks shelves throughout the day.
- consistently manages to keep the shop's appearance and cleanliness to casa herradura set standards.
- assists in inventory cycle counts and yearly counts.
- ensures all pricing and barcodes on the floor are accurate.
- ensures retail wrap desk is fully stocked and organized with the proper operating needs including receipt paper, bags, boxes, and office supply needs.
- performs ee sale as per current policy as requested.
*we are looking for people who*:
- education - high school diploma
- minimum one year of experience in hospitality, retail or spirits/wine industry.
- flexible schedule. Weekends required. While hours are typical during the day, must be flexible in availability to work holidays and some evenings.
- strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- ability to memorize and articulate tour script & lead groups of up to 30, while standing for long periods of time.
- ability to provide exceptional customer service.
