responsible for over 12,000 properties worldwide across all dhl business units, managing more than 30 million m2 with around 1,700 dedicated experts. As our business expands, we seek talent for our americas region.

job purpose:
* planning and conception of structural engineering projects, including basic planning, standard development, and decision papers.
* supporting the development and management of construction plans and processes for real estate projects aligned with business strategies, guidelines, and policies.
* delivering minor to medium construction projects within dhl facilities, overseeing design, installation, and compliance with standards, including project delivery on time and within budget.
your tasks:
* manage construction projects such as refurbishments, expansions, and high-volume projects like points of sale.
* support drawings development, specifications, and cost estimates.
* monitor and review contractor activities and schedules during site works.
* oversee construction activities, including hvac, plumbing, electrical, and special installations.
* prepare and review contract documents and project specifications.
* lead tender processes, technical evaluations, and provide construction expertise.
* ensure designs conform to local regulations, sustainability initiatives, and dhl standards.
* monitor project quality, cost, risks, and issues, ensuring financial control.
* liaise with business units to align solutions with requirements.
* assess real estate options, negotiate transactions, and support project sourcing and handover.
* support documentation, financial modeling, and approval processes.
* manage contractors, oversee project timelines and budgets, and support land acquisition activities.
* contribute to portfolio management, data consolidation, and compliance.
* design space utilization, oversee renovations and facilities improvements, and evaluate facility requirements.
* provide guidance and training to less experienced staff as needed.
your profile:
* bachelor’s degree or equivalent in civil engineering, industrial engineering, architecture, or related field.
* intermediate english proficiency.
* proficiency in autocad, microsoft office, bim, power bi.
* 3-5 years of experience in building design and development, managing medium-sized projects, including retail/high-volume projects.
* experience managing multiple projects across different stages and locations.
