Overview
the occupational health doctor is responsible for understanding and implementing safety protocols, including local, state, and federal laws, keeping detailed records of violations or accidents, creating strategic and preventative methods of work, and focusing on employee safety. Provide health consultation for team members in accordance with primary attention, first aid, and preventive medicine. This position will be designed as medical responsible for health authorities.
responsibilities
* manage the implementation of the organization\'s health and safety policy and procedures so that all employees have a safe and healthy working environment.
* ensure that the organization complies with all current and future regulations and laws.
* manage a team of safety professionals who conduct safety audits to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices, or working conditions.
* investigate accidents, complete or verify accident reports, and liaise with specialists and health and safety authorities to identify the causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.
* recommend changes to working conditions to ensure all employees have a safe and healthy working environment and the organization complies with all regulations, laws, and internal safety policies and standards.
* educate and train the organization\'s workforce on health and safety to ensure they understand and comply with the health and safety policies and standards.
experience / qualifications
* a university degree is required (e.g., bachelor\'s degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
* ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.

* ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
* strong communication skills; oral, written, and presentation.
