Supply chain manager - material planning
the supply chain manager – material planning is responsible for managing a team of material planning specialists to ensure inventory levels and planned deliveries are aligned with production, completions, and spares requirements.
* collaborate with diverse teams including procurement, supplier quality, materials, and operations to guarantee site objectives are achieved.
* presents data insights to upper management and general manager to inform strategic decisions.
* participates in cross-functional teams (cft) and strategic business unit meetings to support high-priority projects.
main responsibilities:
* reviews and updates plans and programs, verifying priorities and implementing changes as needed. Analyzes reports, forecasts, and metrics to inform decision-making.
* supports the resolution of unplanned situations related to material planning and production scheduling.
* contributes to change management boards to incorporate engineering changes, prevent materials shortages, and minimize obsolete inventory.
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in relevant field.
* at least 5 years of experience in materials planning functions.
* proficiency in mrp/erp systems, microsoft office excel, powerpoint, word.
* experience in managing discrete, min max, and vmi planning environments.
* develops and validates complex calculations and coverage analysis to support production, completions, and new project requirements.
