position overview:
seeking a legal-background executive practice coordinator to support the managing attorney and leadership. This remote, full-time, independent contractor role suits a legal professional skilled in executive support, team oversight, project coordination, and workflow management in a legal environment. The coordinator acts as the operational right hand to the managing attorney, facilitating communication and overseeing legal and compliance consultants to ensure quality and timeliness.
work hours & commitment:
* full-time: minimum 160 billable hours/month
* schedule: monday to friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm est
responsibilities:
* support the managing attorney administratively and strategically
* manage calendars, meetings, and communications
* represent the managing attorney in meetings as needed
* oversee legal and compliance projects, ensuring timely, quality deliverables
* supervise legal and compliance consultants
* coordinate team capacity and workflow
* assist with client work approvals and expedite delivery
* monitor project timelines and risks, proposing solutions
* support onboarding of new consultants
* facilitate interdepartmental communication (hr, it, finance)
candidate requirements:
* law degree or equivalent legal qualification
* at least 3 years in legal practice or legal operations
* experience managing legal teams and deliverables
* fluent in english, excellent communication skills
* highly organized, detail-oriented
* experience with project management tools (e.g., asana, trello)
* knowledge of u.s. securities law, rias, sec compliance is a plus
* previous remote work experience preferred
* professional, proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
compensation:
full-time independent contractor role, minimum 160 billable hours/month. Include expected monthly rate in usd and your availability for interview and start date in your application.
