duties & responsibilities: - leadand manage a team of it engineers, providing guidance, support, andmentorship to foster a collaborative and high-performing workenvironment.
- drive the planning, design, and implementation of itinfrastructure, systems, and applications, ensuring scalability,reliability, and security.
- collaborate with other departments tounderstand their it requirements and provide technical expertiseand solutions to support their business objectives.
- evaluateemerging technologies and trends, and make recommendations foradoption to enhance our it capabilities and competitiveness.
-establish and maintain it engineering standards, policies, andprocedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance withrelevant regulations and best practices.
- monitor and analyze theperformance of it systems and infrastructure, identifying areas forimprovement and implementing solutions to optimize performance andmitigate risks.
- manage vendor relationships and contracts relatedto it engineering services and solutions, ensuring service levelagreements are met and value for money is achieved.
- lead andparticipate in cross-functional projects and initiatives,representing the it engineering team and ensuring successfuloutcomes.
- minimum qualifications: - bachelor's degree in computerscience, information technology, or a related field; advanceddegree preferred.
- proven experience 6+ in it engineering, with afocus on system design, infrastructure management, and applicationdevelopment.
- demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in aleadership or managerial role, with a track record of building anddeveloping high-performing teams.
- strong technical expertise inareas such as networking, cloud computing, virtualization,cybersecurity, and database management.
- excellent communicationskills, with the ability to effectively collaborate withcross-functional teams and communicate complex technical conceptsto non-technical stakeholders.
- strong analytical andproblem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically anddrive innovation.
- relevant certifications (e.g., itil, cissp,pmp) are a plus.
