application specialist i – application specialist i dairy
where you'll make a difference
* manage assigned projects independently, developing work plans and meeting timelines.
* create finished product formulations aligned with industrial standards, customer needs, and regional regulations.
* support projects for key local, strategic, and regional customers to ensure commercial success.
* expand knowledge of ingredient functionality, processes, and flavor interactions across categories.
* participate in new concept generation and contribute to innovative application ideas.
* demonstrate ingredient technologies in product concepts for internal teams and customers.
* provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting when needed.
* collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
* maintain organization and inventory of the pilot plant while applying gmp and lab best practices.
what makes you the right fit
* 4–5 years of experience in the food industry or ingredients (dairy sector), with at least 2 years in a relevant specialty.
* university degree in food science, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field; master's degree preferred.
* hands‐on lab experience following gmp standards in food or chemical environments.
* strong mathematical skills (cost‐in‐use, ppm conversions, dilutions, dosage calculations).
* familiarity with sap and microsoft excel, word, and powerpoint.
* ability to taste and describe flavor and taste attributes.
* understanding of sensory protocols, sample preparation, and experimental designs.
* excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* ability to work onsite in the lab 5 days per week and travel up to 2%.
