Our growing manufacturing client is hiring a supply chain operations leader, americas who will lead all supply chain activities for three manufacturing sites across the americas, establishing synergies between sites to improve efficiency and reduce costs. This leader will drive s&op processes, manage material budgets, and oversee supplier performance for both direct and indirect materials, ensuring on-time delivery for commercial and defense aerospace programs.
key responsibilities
* strategic leadership & optimization: develop and implement multi-site supply chain strategies to achieve business goals, including lean manufacturing initiatives and reducing supply chain risk.
* supplier management & negotiation: lead negotiations for long-term contracts, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost-reduction initiatives (ppv - purchase price variance).
* production planning & inventory control: oversee material planning, inventory levels, and production scheduling to ensure continuity of supply, minimizing excess inventory while maintaining 100% on-time delivery.
* project management: manage multiple development projects from planning to cutover and change management. Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to understand needs and develop innovative solutions.
* cross-functional collaboration: partner with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and program management to align sourcing decisions with technical requirements.
* operational excellence: lead monthly siop (sales, inventory, and operations planning) processes and monitor supply chain kpis (sqdc - safety, quality, delivery, cost) to implement corrective actions.
* talent development: lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals across the region, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
* regulatory compliance: ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards.
required qualifications
* education: bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or business administration.
* experience: 5–10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management within the aerospace or manufacturing industry, with proven experience in a multi-site environment.
* technical skills: deep knowledge sap materials management module, demand planning software, and inventory management techniques. Manage system integrations and data flow between sap and other interfaced solutions. Apply advanced analytics and ai to drive efficiency and cost savings.
* leadership: strong team management abilities, experience leading cross-functional teams, and a proven track record of driving process improvements.
* certifications: apics (cpim or cscp) certification is highly preferred.
* travel: ability to travel (50%) to support suppliers and other sites within the americas.
