 
        
        The director, sponsored programs and research position oversees all aspects of proposal administration, sponsored program agreements, and contract negotiation with external agencies. The director serves as a strategic leader in advancing the college's research and public service initiatives.
key responsibilities include leading the college-wide grants program, evaluating funding opportunities, providing oversight and support in grant and sponsored program activities, and working with academic leadership to establish ways to support the pursuit of funding opportunities consistent with fort lewis college strengths and expectations.
the ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, experience in developing complex federal proposals, and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success.
besides these responsibilities, you are expected to work effectively with stakeholders, provide support for departmental staff, stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and policies, and contribute to creating an inclusive workplace culture.
