position overview
role: senior warehouse clerk
purpose: to provide administrative support to the planning team for pp&l.
responsibilities
* perform a variety of tasks under direct supervision according to established procedures linked to purchasing and sourcing activities.
* communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
* follow all company guidelines related to health, safety, and environmental practices.
* ensure that subordinates follow company safety guidelines when applicable and that needed resources are available and in good condition.
* maintain compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
* follow up on urgent materials to ensure receipt in the system.
* facilitate the importation process to customs, ensuring all required documentation (e.g., invoices) is complete and accurate.
* communicate with suppliers to resolve minor delivery, quality, or documentation issues before escalating to the buyer.
* support creation and maintenance of various reports.
* perform other duties assigned as needed.
qualifications / requirements
* high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
* 4-6 years of relevant experience.
* proficient in microsoft word, microsoft excel, and microsoft access (required).
* bilingual: english/spanish (preferred).
* experience with sap (preferred).
* knowledge of gmp/iso (preferred).
* knowledge of ees mrp systems (preferred).
* strong oral and written communication skills.
* proficient in purchasing systems applications (preferred).
