we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced food safety professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee our food safety management system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
about the role
the senior food safety professional will be responsible for developing and maintaining our food safety management system (fsms) to meet industry standards. This includes conducting regular kitchen inspections to monitor hygiene and sanitation levels, collaborating with the executive chef on investigations of possible foodborne illness cases, and tracking supplier certifications.
the successful candidate will also design and deliver food safety training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills. Additionally, they will support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
key responsibilities
* developing and maintaining the fsms to meet regulatory requirements.
* conducting regular kitchen inspections to monitor hygiene and sanitation levels.

requirements
* maintaining industry best practices for food safety and hygiene.
* relevant diploma or certificate in food safety or related field.
* knowledge and certification in haccp and iso 22000.
* minimum 2 years' experience in food hygiene and sanitation within the hospitality industry.
* familiarity with local and federal food safety regulations.
* experience with fsms implementation and audits.
* excellent communication and training delivery skills.
* strong organizational and documentation abilities.
* ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
