Overview
apmt otc global process lead role at apm terminals.
global process execution lead (atr, otc, stp). Business unit: apmt fna, maersk gsc. Reports to: apmt gsc head of execution.
principal accountabilities
* processes & standardization
* ensure delivery according to the finance delivery promise and drive efficiency targets. Develop a roadmap, key priorities and strategic initiatives for the responsible domain in close collaboration with fpo. Focus on end-to-end process optimization, including cross-functional work.
* take responsibility for improvement initiatives and changes in processes across all entities globally at gsc and for non-offshored terminals. Ensure process compliance and drive standardization across entities and sites. Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste, while safeguarding standards and ensuring only approved processes are executed.
* perform regular gemba and process confirmations. Identify process gaps and support bridging deviations per standard.
performance management & compliance
* ultimately responsible for ensuring execution targets are met for the domain. Work closely with regional functional process leads and the business to analyze kpi data and implement corrective actions.
* develop clear action plans with regional functional process leads to improve operational metrics and ensure alignment with f&a partners on performance and activities to close targets.
* provide continuous feedback to fpos on gaps and risks in process execution. Ensure internal controls and documentation requirements are followed. Ensure blueprint adherence with clear roles & responsibilities. Approve new or changed accesses. Possess strong understanding of group accounting policies, guidelines and control framework.
change management
* drive best practice sharing within the execution team of each process domain. Encourage kaizens & process confirmations and feedback to fpos.
* lead or participate in changes to processes or systems. Act as key user and participate in the community to discuss process and system improvements. Bridge gaps between functions for end-to-end perspective. Communicate changes to offshore stakeholders. Develop people through coaching and mentoring to build organizational capability.
reporting & scope
* position reports to apmt gsc head of execution. Stakeholders include regional f&a partners, regional hofs, head of finance transformation, fpo and bpo.
* scope: global entities within gsc scope (all sites). Location: mexico city, gsc.
qualifications, skills & experience
* minimum 14-16 years’ experience in otc/collections domain. Fna manager/process lead/controller in the relevant area; preferably at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* qualified chartered accountant/mba/master’s in finance. Strong people leadership, experience leading leaders. Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
* proven track record delivering results through others (direct and indirect reports). Change-management capability; able to push back when appropriate and handle resistance calmly and respectfully.
* good english written and verbal communication, plus presentation and facilitation skills.
