about the role:
the ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations and inventory management, with experience in supervising teams and ensuring the efficient flow of materials. They will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, identifying process improvement opportunities, and ensuring materials are handled in accordance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
duties and responsibilities:
* oversee the daily activities of a small to medium-sized inventory team, including receiving, warehousing, inventory control, and material delivery to production.
* coordinate work schedules, staffing needs, and training plans to maximize team productivity and performance.
* monitor team productivity, provide feedback, and act as a point of escalation for complex or urgent concerns.
* ensure timely material availability to production lines in alignment with planning and procurement.
* identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
* work cross-functionally with purchasing, production, and planning to support uninterrupted material flow.
* inspect and ensure proper functioning of material handling equipment and report maintenance needs.
* support inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution.
* ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent required; master's degree preferred.
* seven to ten years of experience in warehouse or inventory operations, with at least three years in a senior supervisory role.
* experience in global manufacturing environments preferred.
* advanced knowledge of ms office and inventory management systems.
* strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* high attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
