as a sr. Strategic sourcing specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of a value engineering (ve) and component engineering (ce) initiatives, ensuring ve-ce projects are delivered on time, and meeting the savings objectives.
the job responsibilities also includes monitoring progress, mitigating risks, and communicating effectively with stakeholders throughout the project execution lifecycle.
this role plays a critical role in driving cost savings through ve-ce initiatives.
these initiatives will be aligned with category and overall strategic sourcing strategies.
your primary focus will be on meeting the business requirements of the ess division, by achieving productivity savings target of 1% of ess business revenue, in alignment with ess vece annual operating plan savings target.
this will involve project management activities, including end-to-end project management of each assigned opportunity, in a fast-paced and complex business environment.
working within a collaborative team, including engineering and r&d experts, you will contribute to high-impact projects that drive the business forward.
your responsibilities will include helping the team meet deadlines, tracking and monitoring project progress, and preparing reports for senior leadership to provide updates on the status and progress of each project.
key responsibilities
- develop, drive, and execute value engineering and component engineering projects in a cross-functional environment, working with engineering, r&d, quality, sourcing, manufacturing, and offering managers to ensure project execution and implementation within deadlines
- align initiatives with category and overall strategic sourcing strategies
- support the vece team to facilitate ideation pipeline growth through the development of new ideas and strong teamwork with the procurement organization.
- develop robust business cases at inception of a new opportunity, track productivity until project completion.
- manage end-to-end project management of assigned opportunities
- work with team members to meet deadlines, achieve project goals, and facilitate the integrity of the vece program
- track, monitor, and summarize progress of projects
- perform risk assessment of suppliers identified as opportunistic when initiating new value engineering or component engineering projects
- identify potential risks and mitigate dependencies to minimize barriers or threats in project execution.establish relationship with gbe stakeholders, and escalate project barriers and delays.you must have.
- minimum 5+ strategic sourcing/supply chain areas/commodity sourcing
- experience working in global team environment
- project management and/or contract management experience
- global sourcing experience with understanding of value chain concepts and international trade frameworks
- strong problem-solving skills
- effective decision-making using thoughtfulness, wisdom, experience, and judgment
- advanced english

- excellent written and oral communication skills, english fluent, any other language is a plus
- experience with supplier relationship management and supplier development, negotiating agreements, contract management experience is a plus demonstrate actionable results by delivering against targets for financial performance business impact
