about the role
the manager, accounting & controllership is responsible for leading the accounting and controllership function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with statutory and us gaap requirements, and maintaining a strong internal controls environment. This role acts as a key business partner, providing accounting support to field operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and support business objectives.
Key responsibilities
lead the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review and submit financial data (including hfm supplemental data) for corporate reporting and support cfin initiatives.
Review and approve revenue recognition calculations and associated entries for proper revenue recognition or deferrals.
Review and approve monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Serve as the key contact for statutory filings and stat to gaap requirements.
Provide balance sheet fluctuation analysis and maintain a strong internal controls environment.
Create and maintain accounting standard work documentation.
Provide accounting support to business partners in the field.
Manage a small team, including remote personnel.
Support audits and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
Requirements
bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
Advanced english proficiency.
Previous experience with software or service companies.
Experience with erp systems (netsuite).
Proficiency in microsoft office.
Experience with hfm, blackline, and banking software.
Knowledge of revenue recognition and capitalization.
Strong understanding of statutory and us gaap requirements.
