the role:
as a business development, you will be part of the galileo team, reporting to the manager of business development, offering digital banking solutions to cross-functional c-suite leaders at financial institutions and fintechs.
the role requires knowledge and understanding of banking and financial services business and ecosystem, core and digital banking platforms, and galileo products. The role requires a self-starter who can, proactively, generate leads to shepherd through the sales cycle; prospecting, creating preference, and closing deals by working in a highly complex, consultative selling environment. This role requires a self-starter who will be able to fulfill our enterprise selling approach - from prospecting and cold calling to preparing presentation materials for your final round of meetings.
the right candidate has excellent presentation and pitching experience, proven success in prior sales roles, and is comfortable calling on high-level corporate leaders. Ideally, candidates will have experience working with prospects/clients. The key to success in this role is a relentless drive to identify, pursue, and close new opportunities against established metrics and comfortably articulate galileo’s value proposition.
what you’ll do:
* identify and target top-tier banks and for potential opportunities.
* cultivate and manage key relationships with decision-makers in financial institutions.
* devise and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet annual quotas.
* create tailored proposals aligning with client business requirements
* lead negotiations from discovery to contract closure.
* elevate awareness of our brand and technology solutions in the financial industry.
* conduct virtual and in-person prospecting meetings to c-level individuals with companies desiring to offer financial services products
* manage all aspects of selling galileo's solutions
* maintain a robust sales pipeline
* engage in consultative selling solutions on the phone and in person
* experience in structuring and negotiating business and technical terms to close opportunities
* excellent judgment, presence and mature personality; experience working with executives
* successfully navigate latam financial services landscape to identify key decision makers and negotiate deal terms to close
what you’ll need:
* proven track record in consultative it and saas sales within banking with specific core expertise preferred.
* bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
* strong business acumen with a focus on high-impact roi.
* ability to quickly triage potential opportunities and carefully manage your time.
* excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
* ability to thrive in both hunter and sole contributor environments.
* experience managing multi-million-dollar, multi-year agreements.
* 10+ years sales experience in selling software in the financial services industry is strongly preferred
* strong executive presence combined with some technical understanding is key
* flawless communication skills. We are looking for a natural networker who can quickly build upon existing relationships
* proven ability to transform strategy into action and drive results through others
* strong track record of meeting and exceeding all sales goals
