*in one sentence*:
the role will serve as the triage and defect management focal point on a telecom project by facilitating bridge conversations, creating leadership reports, presenting status readouts. This role is critical to the success of the project with daily customer interactions.
*what will your job look like?*:
*facilitate the bridge*:
- promote progress by facilitating conversations between dev resources.
- maintain roster resources.
*defect management*:
- review new defects, understand issues and impacts on testing, ensure correct team assignment.
- maintain and inspect jira for accuracy.
- monitor defect progression, facilitate resolution discussions.
- identify the need for breakout sessions and gather required teams.
- work closely with sqar and fact to understand their needs.
- ensure rca is populated for every defect.
*triage*:
- assess defects, understand issues and impacted flows, confirm correct team assignment, and initiate conversations.
- identify failure points in the flow and create investigation plans.
- reduce resolution time by providing exclusive information (splunk logs, deep, etc.).
- identify the need for breakout sessions, gather required teams, and facilitate conversations.
- understand rca and fixes, challenge when necessary.
- ask questions that contribute to the conversation, lead to solutions, or gain knowledge.
- identify changes from the previous report.
- identify testing status, blocked flows, and current runway.
- provide the latest status of critical defects (blockers and high).
*leadership calls*:
- facilitate calls, manage conversations productively.
- allow conversations to flow.
- review defects after initial sqar review, allow teams to update on their defects.
*status collection*:
- run status checks at designated times, start earlier before leadership calls if the defect list is longer than 15 defects.
- update status in jira based on teams’ feedback.
- identify defects with unchanged status for long periods, push for quicker resolution.
- maintain common phrases for status uniformity.
- obtain fix eta when applicable.

- *customer interaction*:previous customer-facing experience.
- *shift availability*:ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings/weekend.
- *leadership skills*:capable of leading effectively, with strong verbal and communication abilities, especially on bridge/call.
- *business knowledge*:basic knowledge of telecom business
- willing to work on us time zones, including weekends
- must arrive to the office 3 times a week
- software engineering dev/infra/devops/testing background
- jira experience (nice to have)
